Limitations as the Aid
This week I monitored patients and learned what I can and can't do as an aid. We have a new traveling therapist from Montana, who will be with us for three weeks. He is very knowledgeable, however, he his trying to use the aids way to much. It is very hard to say, "No I can't do that," however I have to because it causes a huge liability for the company. I am not allowed to do ultrasound, apply a TENS unit or E-Stem unit, however I can take them off. I am also not allow to show them how to do new exercises, although I can go through the program that they already know and have been taught. Today I did some filing and also put new appointment papers in the charts and made copies of the appointment papers that have also been documented. I also will be attending a back school program put on by our facility in a few weeks.
